Display Floating in Space
With the collection 'Display Floating in Space', graduate of the Royal Danish Academy and Designers’ Nest finalist, Belinda Rasmussen, explores tactility and haptics in the relation between objects, garments and the body. Through a series of digital and analogue experiments, Rasmussen centres on material compositions by the use of glass, shipping bags and large-scale print on leather. Her work aims to stimulate the senses by creating a space for reflection and feeling of 'touch' in fashion. Emphasizing craftsmanship and tailored pieces, Rasmussen presents a readable collection, mostly based on deadstock materials, with the ambition to create longevity where the consumer feels a higher sense of attachment to the garments.
